For whatever reason, nothing has ever felt more like the end of an era as it does right now.

It seems a cruel joke that we never appreciate our greatest epochs until they’re seen in retrospect. We just don’t. We kind of get it, and we tell ourselves that we couldn’t be happier with a given situation when we see it, but when it’s gone – or when they’re gone, we come to terms with the fact that there was no way that we did when we thought that.

Sear to memory, measure in love, because regardless of the nature of the now -for better or for worse, this too shall pass.
